Meet the Paediatric Dentist

Dr. Shonna Masse is a certified specialist in paediatric dentistry and has practiced in the Etobicoke area since 2001. Dr. Masse is privileged to be on staff at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. She is the Immediate Past President of the Ontario Society of Paediatric Dentists (OSPD) and has served on the OSPD executive since 2002.

Dr. Masse graduated with a masters degree in Paediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan. She is a Fellow in Paediatric Dentistry with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has been a recipient of the Proctor and Gamble Paediatric Dentistry Award and the American College of Dentists Award, and was inducted into the dental honourary society Omicron Kappa Upsilon.

Our newly built office was specially designed for children and contains the latest technology. We provide paediatric dental services ranging from preventative dental care to the treatment of complex paediatric dental issues.

Our Approach

Dr. Masse is dedicated to specialized dental care for your child. She treats children from newborn to age 18, and children with special needs.

Proper dental care is important from the moment your child’s first tooth appears. Therefore, Dr. Masse recommends that your child’s first visit to The Children’s Dental Centre be on the appearance of his or her first tooth or 12 months of age, which ever comes first.

Establishing The Children’s Dental Centre as your child’s Dental Home provides Dr. Masse the opportunity to teach your child proper dental care and to focus on prevention and early detection and treatment of dental problems. Dr. Masse and her staff want you and your child to feel comfortable visiting the dentist and for your visits to their office to be a pleasant experience.

From our special office design to our behaviour management style, our complete focus is on the dental needs of your child.
